Sunday Post: Sep 7

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

Bailey meets Golden Retriever puppy at kindergarten

Last Week

Home & blog

Bailey began puppy kindergarten this week and visited the vet to get shots and microchipped. She was so busy licking up the treat they gave her she didn’t even notice the shots…LOL. She’s growing so fast–almost 25 lbs. now!

Karen and I went to a vintage and made fair on Saturday. That was lots of fun. I bought a carved wood bird for our Christmas tree. Karen bought a Christmas candle holder with green tin trees and wool mittens. And we each got henna tattoos! henna-handsMine is the smaller one on my wrist! (And I’ve already smudged it a little at this point.)

When my daughters and husband and I visited my father-in-law last Labor Day weekend my daughters and I decided to start a family blog. We’ve talked about it for several months and finally took the plunge. It’s been fun to plan and get started.

COYER Summer Vacation ended this week and I read and reviewed 16 books during the reading challenge. I didn’t end up participating very much in reading challenges or other fun stuff. I was much busier this summer than I thought I would be. One of the good things about COYER is that I’m caught up on my reviews. Yay!

I’m heading home to Maryland the middle of this week. I’ll miss Bailey and Karen, but it will be great to see my husband and my kitty cats. I’ve missed them all.
