Can’t Wait Wednesday: A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers

A robot on a quest to figure out what humanity really needs!

Can’t Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings. This is a weekly meme to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. The books I choose aren’t released yet and usually won’t be published for at least two or three months. So I have a while to wait!

I love finding out about books set to publish in future months and I like to share my excitement about the books. I also like to find out about new books on other people’s blogs and hope they’ll sometimes find something to look forward to on my blog.

I’m excited to read . . .

A Prayer for the Crown-Shy

by Becky Chambers

Series: Monk & Robot #2

Published by Tordotcom

Publishing date: July 12

Genre: Science Fiction Novella

160 pages

Synopsis: After touring the rural areas of Panga, Sibling Dex (a Tea Monk of some renown) and Mosscap (a robot sent on a quest to determine what humanity really needs) turn their attention to the villages and cities of the little moon they call home.

They hope to find the answers they seek, while making new friends, learning new concepts, and experiencing the entropic nature of the universe.

Becky Chambers’s new series continues to ask: in a world where people have what they want, does having more even matter?

I read the first book in this series and it was both a lot of fun and also thought-provoking. And I love the cover of this book!
