Can’t-Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings. This is a weekly meme to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. The books I choose aren’t released yet and usually won’t be published for at least two or three months. So I have a while to wait!
I love finding out about books set to publish in future months and I like to share my excitement about the books. I also like to find out about new books on other people’s blogs and hope they’ll sometimes find something to look forward to on my blog.
I’m excited to read . . .

………………………..
I’ve read Charlaine Harris’s books for years. Before she wrote the Sookie Stackhouse series she wrote mysteries which I read and enjoyed.
I’m really enjoying this alternate history about Gunnie Rose who makes her living as a gunslinger and hired gun in a vastly different America. Start with the first book if you haven’t read any of these!
Oh my gosh, Jan, I’m super excited for this too! I love this series:-)

I really like the world Charlaine Harris has created and the Western vibe as well as the Russians Empire in the western U.S. It certainly gives lots of opportunity for stories.

I need to read the second book but I love Gunnie as well. I do wish they’d stop fooling with the covers though! It’s like they can’t make up their mind and none of them fit together (I still like the first one the best).

You’re right, Barb. The covers are all really different. In one way I like that so I don’t get them mixed up, but it is nice to have a cohesive look. Sometimes when the covers only change the color on the cover and everything else looks the same it’s hard to remember which book I’ve read!

I agree that alternate histories are so interesting. It really gives an author an opportunity to explore “What if” which I like to think about.

I’ve been meaning to read this author’s books as she sounds like she writes with plenty of humor and wit equal to the suspense and action. I’ll have to check this series out!

Her books do have quite a bit of humor which I also enjoy when there’s lots of action and suspense. And she’s written quite a few different series which makes it nice, too.

I really want to try this series. It looks so good and I’ve liked most of the books by Harris I’ve read in the past.
