Kimberly hosts the Sunday Post each week. I like to take part because it gives me an opportunity to look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also love to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading.
Personal life
Pappajohn Sculpture Park
I had a busy week, but my husband and I found time for a local outing.
Downtown Des Moines has a wonderful sculpture park which regularly gets new sculptures. We drive by often, but this week we stopped to walk through it and admire new sculptures and old favorites. It was a beautiful afternoon and a fun outing.
MacRae Park & EMC Overlook
On the way home we stopped at a small park named for Donald MacRae, a WWI soldier from Des Moines, who was killed during the war. The park is over 100 years old. It needed some renovations so the park has been closed for a number of months. It was reopened earlier this month and an overlook 40 feet above the ground was added which provides a great view of downtown Des Moines.
A very fun outing!
Blog life
Only a couple posts written, but four good books finished!
