Sunday Post: September almost over

Weekly meme to talk about books and a little my personal life

Sunday-Post

Kimberly hosts the Sunday Post each week. I like to take part because it gives me an opportunity to look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also love to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading.

Personal life

Nice cool weather which I love. We’re getting lots of rain next week. Ah, autumn weather!

I was going to add some photos this Sunday morning and then publish, but our internet wasn’t working for a while so now that we finally got it working I’m publishing this. Maybe there’ll be photos next week!

A quiet week

My husband is still working on our driveway–except when it rains, because our clay soil gets very mucky and slippery. So probably not much work next week.

I had a quiet week. That was nice after all the travelling I’ve done in the past 6 weeks or so. I worked on cards, got some cards sent to family and friends, worked on my blog and read a little (not a lot since I didn’t get any books finished!) Made appointments with doctors for the next few months. Paid bills. Went through mail to make sure I hadn’t missed anything I needed. In other words the minutiae of everyday life!

Blog life

Last week I visited a few blogs. I’m working on answering comments. I also spent a lot of time learning to use the new WordPress writing editor which uses blocks. It’s fairly intuitive though I had trouble figuring out how to put some of my text beside photos. I discovered the new editor doesn’t really like me to try to use old posts as a framework for my new posts. If I start with a blank slate things work better. So I think I’m getting the hang of it after a few frustrating days.
