Kimberly hosts the Sunday Post each week. I like to take part because it gives me an opportunity to look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also love to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading.
Personal life
Very hot here in the Midwest as well as other parts of the United States. This weekend it’s been in the 90’s with the heat index in 105 degree range.
Trip to visit daughters in Illinois & Indiana
This past week my husband and I drove to Illinois to visit our older daughter. My husband went home after a few days because he has planted grass which needs regular watering. On Friday my daughter and I drove to Indiana to visit my younger daughter.
Daylilies
I planted daylilies last year and they are thriving! I love having daylilies in my yard. Such an easy perennial and so many beautiful blooms. When I get back to Iowa my daylilies will probably be a memory until next year.
Blog life
I started blogging again after several month’s absence. It’s so nice to talk about books again.

I hope you enjoy your vacation. We used to have Daylilies where I grew up in Michigan. The orange ones and they were gorgeous! I wonder if they would grow here in the south. Have to check that!

I don’t know if they grow in the south either. I hope they do!

It’s been hot here too but not quite that hot. I hope we get a cooldown soon- here in the Midwest as well as everywhere that’s sweltering right now! Glad you were able to come back to blogging also. I know I’d miss it if I stopped.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

I love the daylilies. I had them in MN but not here in NC. The soil is so bad here I’ll have to buy soil to grow veggies or flowers I think. I think we lost you last time after you went to IL and IN for awhile. I’m glad you are back. You always have interesting reads. Have a great week and try to stay cool!

Thanks, Anne! Luckily, the daylilies don’t seem to mind the heavy clay soil here!
