Kimberly hosts the Sunday Post each week. I like to take part because it gives me an opportunity to look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also love to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading.
Home
It warmed up this week–upper 40’s–and a lot of our 10 inches of snow melted. On Sunday it’s supposed to get up to 55 degrees! We’re taking care of our daughter’s dogs this weekend since she’s gone for the weekend. They’ve had lots of fun running in the backyard that still has some snow. I got pictures of them chasing each other!
Earlier in the week I saw a couple of wild turkeys in our yard and got a photo of them. Luckily they haven’t come back since the dogs are here. Juneau, the yellow lab, loves to chase the squirrels and she’s come close to catching them. It wouldn’t be good for the turkeys!
Television
We’re still watching quite a few different Olympic sports and enjoying them. I’m always in awe of the athletes. We watched another episode of Altered Carbon, too. I’m trying to have us just watch a couple of episodes a week so we have the show around for awhile. I think we have three or four episodes left.
Blog
I’ve decided to do some reading challenges this year and I’m excited about them since I didn’t do any last year. However, some of the challenges require reviews so I’ve decided to do mini reviews. I’ll have to see how that works out!
I’ve created an Instagram account and am learning what I have to do for that. Of course, almost all my books are digital–ebooks or audiobooks–so it’s kind of hard to upload photos of my books! But I’ve uploaded a few other photos. I will connect it to my blog sometime this week.

- Sunday Post: The Olympics start
- Can’t-Wait Wednesday: The Privilege of Peace by Tanya Huff
- 2018 Reading Challenges
Next week

What did you do last week?
Yay, for the snow melting! We’ve had so much rain, the deer love it so they’ve been in our yard a lot over the last week. They like the moss that grows. Hope you enjoy the new books and your week.

The snow melted very well. We have deer in our front yard getting into our bird feeders!

Glad your snow is melting and hope it stays nice. You got some really good books this week!! 🙂
For instagram I take pics of my kindle with the book I am reading because even most eARC’s have the cover on them, some in color and some in black and white so I just pretend it’s a book and put something cool around it for decoration. 🙂 Audios are a bit tricker…lol.

I am glad that the snow is finally melting! I like the idea of The Silkworm as an audiobook, especially after seeing the TV series, which was fabulous. And you have a brilliant haul of books, Jan:). Have a great week, hopefully that the warmer weather continues…

I’m looking forward to starting The Silkworm. I haven’t had much time to listen to audiobooks since I’m dog sitting for my son. I didn’t know there was a TV series, Sarah. I hope it comes to the U.S. at some point.

We had a snow storm today and already it is melting. It is suppose to be 68 degrees on Wednesday. I like the snow, but I hate that I always have to commute in it. This morning going to work I almost lost control twice.
You haul look like a lot of fun. So much cover love there. I hope you enjoy them all. Have a great week and happy reading!

Wow! 68 degrees! We’re excited because it’s going to get into the 40s finally. The snow is a real problem if you have to commute. Since I’m retired I can usually enjoy it and not have to drive in it. It’s really scary when you start sliding around on the roads.

My dogs love the snow. They like to roll in it. Good luck with your reading challenges, and have a great week!

I love the pictures of the dogs! I always like seeing wild turkeys though they’re not the brightest birds! I have the same problem with Instagram! I have been reading more print books but so much of my reading is either audio or ebook! Have a great week!

The dogs had lots of fun running in the yard. I love seeing them chase each other. Yeah, the turkeys aren’t too smart–though smarter than domestic turkeys, I think!

Glad the snow is melting. The dogs are having a good time. My pups would love playing in the snow. I like the cover for One Crazy Summer and would want to give it a listen. I also listen to a lot of audios. Enjoy your books and have a great week.

Thanks, Cricket. I haven’t had too much time to listen to audiobooks this week since I’m dog sitting for my son. I’m really missing it. The book I’ve been listening to is very good.
