WWW Wednesday: May 3

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. The idea is to answer the three questions below. For more information check out the Taking on a World of Words blog.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading

The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi (Science Fiction, Space Opera) — I’m listening to the audiobook narrated by Wil Wheaton. I’ve just started it and I’m loving it!

Den of Wolves by Juliet Marillier (Fantasy) — Another book I’ve barely started, but I loved the first two books in this series. Blackthorn and Grim are such good characters.

Recently finished

Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor (The Chronicles of St. Mary’s #1) Science Fiction, Time Travel — Lots of action. So fun to read.

Watching the Detectives by Julie Mulhern (Country Club Mysteries #5) Historical Mystery, Cozy [NetGalley–publishing date, May 23] — This is one of my favorite mystery series and the series just gets better and better.

Reading next (perhaps–I’m very much a mood reader!)

Hunting Hour by Margaret Mizushima (Timber Creek K-9 Mystery #3) Mystery, Police Procedural

A Symphony of Echoes by Jodi Taylor (The Chronicles of St. Mary’s #2) Science Fiction, Time Travel

  1. I’ve just recently added The Collapsing Empire to my tbr list! Good to hear you’re enjoying it 🙂 I haven’t heard of Juliet Marillier but you’ve convinced me ^^ I’ll have a look on Goodreads later.

Your comment form won’t allow me to include the link to my WWW :/

With your name at the top of the comment I do see the link to your blog so I will follow that to comment on your blog. (Sorry it has taken me so long to comment–my husband and I are building a fence and when I’m not doing that I’m exhausted!)

    1. I’m so glad you’ve liked those books, Sarah. I’m loving them, too. Hope to get to the second St. Mary’s book as soon as I finish The Collapsing Empire.

  4. I love how much your reading is spread across the genres – out of this selection I like the look of Watching The Detectives the most.

    1. I have read more sci fi and fantasy the last month or so. I’ve been reading mostly mysteries for a year or so. (I’m very changeable with my reading…lol)

  7. I don’t read a lot of nonfiction. I read a few chapters here and there in gardening books and a few others types that I’m trying to gain information from. I hope you find just the book to relax with!
