The reasons this book appeals to me:
- I read the first book in this series and thought it was a lot of fun.
- I like the Victorian setting and the characters–especially Veronica.
- The mystery in this story sounds great!
I’m behind on Raybourn’s books and haven’t read the first Veronica Speedwell yet but I love her books! Plus this cover is just fantastic!

I’m so excited for this one—and I got the ARC! Can’t wait to read it, but there are a bunch of other ARCs in line before it, so I guess I’ll have to put it off at least a little longer.

I haven’t requested the book yet. I’m trying to decide whether to do more requesting on NetGalley right now since I’ve been a little ho-hum about some of the book I requested. Makes me not want to read them and then I feel guilty about it. So might not be worth it to try to get more books. Ah, well…
