Sunday Post: April 10

Sunday-Post

This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading.

Last Week–home and blog

Iowa–at last!

We arrived in Iowa. We got kind of a late start the first day so it was a long day. We drove from Maryland to Illinois and arrived at our older daughter’s house at 1:30 in the morning local time. The second day we only had five hours to drive so we slept late.

Arrived in Iowa early in the evening. Our daughter who lives in Des Moines was waiting for us and had meat, cheese and fruit ready for us. We decided to take a break and went to a movie theater that serves meals and watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. We had lots of laughs and that was the perfect way to unwind and start our new life!

The next day we unpacked the moving truck and with lots of help it was quickly finished. With all the help we got a number of boxes unpacked, the kitchen pretty well set up and all the beds made.

My oldest daughter and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are returning this weekend to help unpack and do minor repairs. Wonderful to have family and friends!

Spring?

It’s been chilly, rainy and windy this week in Iowa, but at least we didn’t have snow like they did in southern Maryland where my husband is!

The blog
