Books On My Spring TBR

Top TenTop Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted at the Broke and the Bookish blog. Each week has a different topic and it’s fun to see what everyone writes each week. Check out their blog for more information.

This week I’m talking about books on my spring TBR list. I’ve divided my list by the genres I plan to read. These are all books I’ve bought (sometimes a long time ago!), but haven’t read yet. I haven’t added any new books published this spring. I have several NetGalley books and will read those, but for this list I wanted to add my TBR books–books already purchased and waiting for me to read them–since I haven’t read any backlist books yet this year.

I’ve chosen four books in each group–so I have 12 books instead of 10.

From my TBR list

Winter of Secrets by Vicki Delany (Constable Molly Smith series #3)

The Gray Ghost Murders by Keith McCafferty (Sean Stranahan series #2)

The Lost by Claire McGowan (Paula McGuire #1)

The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series #5)

Science Fiction

Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold (Vorkosigan Saga #8)

Caliban’s War by James S. A. Corey (Expanse, #2)

Ghost Ship by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller (Liaden Universe #15)

The Human Division by John Scalzi (Old Man’s War #5)

The Sleeping Life by Andrea K. Höst (Eferum #2)

The Killing Moon by N.K. Jemisin (Dreamblood #1)

Hallow Point by Ari Marmell (Mick Oberon #2)

The Winter Long by Seanan McGuire (October Daye #8)

What is on your spring TBR list?

Author: Jan

I love to read--especially mysteries, science fiction and fantasy. I also love blogging, photography, gardening, playing Mah Jonng, reading with a cat on my lap, throwing a ball for a dog, creating cards to send to family and friends, reading book blogs, using my computer.

  1. Ooh, the mysteries sound good- I love a good thriller but I haven’t read any of these authors- must get on it!

I hope Spring brings time to read all the books!

  2. Yay! Love the spring header! The glasses on the egg are so cute. And good choice to read The Brutal Telling. The audiobook reader is really great, so you could go that route too. Have fun!

    1. Thanks, Karen! I have fun trying to find a place for glasses in my headers…haha. I’m planning to listen to The Brutal Telling since I have the audiobook. Glad to hear the narrator is good.

  3. Yes to all the mysteries! I really want to read more Vicki Delaney and Louise Penny. The Gray Ghost Murder and The Lost both look good too. I love the cover of The Lost. I’ll have to check out your fantasy choices. It still isn’t a genre I’ve read much of but it’s definitely one I want to explore more.

    1. I hope you get a chance to read some of these books, Katherine. These are books I really want to find time to read.

  4. I have to admit after watching some of the Expanse TV show that I’m more curious about those books. And I’ve been eyeing the October Daye series as well.

    1. I only read the first book in The Expanse series so I really want to read more. I’ve been told they get even better as go along. Having read the first book really helped me understand the TV show better. Lots happens in that first book.

  5. I need to catch up on the October Daye books, too! Listening to Chimes at Midnight on audiobook right now and I’m hoping to be all caught up by the end of April. N.K. Jemisin is also on my “I must read this immediately” list, Spring Edition. Good luck with your reading, Jan!
