Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!
Last Week–home and blog
December already?
I had a great week in Illinois with my older daughter. We had fun cooking together, talking and just being together. Friday night we drove to Des Moines where I’ll stay with my younger daughter. During the drive we started listening to an audiobook–A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab.

We’ve had a good time this weekend. I will be in Des Moines (except for a side trip or two) until after Christmas! My son is flying in for a visit starting tomorrow. He works from home so he can work most anywhere. We meet up with my husband in two weeks. I’m hoping to get some baking and cooking done while I’m here.
The outside of the house is decorated, but we still have decorating to do inside–including putting up the Christmas tree. I love all the decorating and seeing everyone’s outdoor lights.
Television
I watched a lot of NCIS on Netflix this week (and didn’t read much). I’m only up to season 5 so there’s a lot to watch still. I also started watching The Great Holiday Baking Show that’s on during December. Really enjoyed the first episode. I’m also enjoying Elementary.
The blog
I’ve worked on some blog posts for December. I’m also trying to plan for 2016–what challenges I want to sign up for and what my goals are for the year.

What did you do last week? What books did you collect? What are you planning?
Your “December already?” comment is so true! Sounds like you’ll be getting some good family time this week.
I read the VE Schwab earlier this year, will be interested in reading your impressions of it.

Yes, lots of family time all month, Li. The VE Schwab is not what I was expecting. I’ll have to see how it goes.

Great haul this week! I used to watch a ton of NCIS. I loved the relationship between Gibbs and Abbey on that show. It’s just one of those shows that seem to go on forever though, so I stopped watching sometime around season 7, I think.

Yeah, it’s the relationships on the show I like–especially Gibbs and Abbey. I know what you mean about it going on forever!

It sure sounds like a wonderful month for you with your family. I still binge watch NCIS now and then along with Criminal Minds. It’s nice to revisit characters and have some laughs.

I’ve got the Holiday Baking Show recorded but haven’t started it yet. Glad to know you’re enjoying it. I love Mary Berry so I’m pretty sure she can do no wrong. I love NCIS and enjoyed rewatching the earlier seasons a few months ago. I just love Gibbs! Sounds like you’re going to have a busy December! We’re going to attempt to get holiday decorations up today. Not sure it’s going to happen but we’re going to try! Have a great week!

I hope you like the Baking Show, Katherine! I like that it uses the same format as the British Baking Show.

Enjoy your family time, and decorating. I’ve been watching Netflix too, I keep adding shows. A Man of Some Repute sounds familiar, I think I saw that one a while back. I was intrigued, will have to look into it.
Have a great week!
