The Ho-Ho-H0Read-a-Thonis hosted
by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Jennifer @ The Book Shelfery.
December is one of my favorite times of the year and I really like reading holiday themed books set in the winter. I love sitting by my fire on a cold winter day reading and love reading about that, too! Kimba and Jennifer host a fun Read-a-Thon and I enjoyed participating last year.
There are challenges, a Twitter party (Tuesday, Nov 17 @ 7p.m. EST), a twitter hashtag (#HoHoHoRAT) and prizes. I have trouble participating in some of these things. I’m always torn between reading and participating, because I seldom get a book read during the Read-a-Thon.
My goals:
- Read holiday books before the beginning of the Read-a-Thon and review them during the Read-a-Thon
- Read holiday books during Read-a-Thon. List of books and stories I’m choosing from during the Read-a-Thon:
Christmas Gifts by Mary Balogh
Christmas Miracles by Mary Balogh
“Christmas Crumble” by M.C. Beaton
“Hot Toy” by Jennifer Cruisie
“Santa 365” by Spencer Quinn
My Buddhist Christmas by Jeremy Phillps
Christmas is Murder by C.S. Challinor
- Participate in at least one challenge and the Twitter Party
- Share one of my favorite Christmas cookie recipes
What about you? Do you enjoy reading holiday books? Are you participating in the Ho-Ho-H0 Read-a-Thon? If so, what are you planning to read?
These are some great goals for the read-a-thon. Good luck!

Ambitious goals; I can’t wait for your cookie recipe. I’m glad you’re joining in!
I tried to include a link to my HHHRAT signup but your site said I had too many links. Ah well, I posted it earlier this week.

I’m sorry about the link problem, Bea. Don’t quite know what that was about. And we’ll see what I manage to get done!

I’m still finalizing my reads but I think I’ve got a few lined up, so I should be good. I like this time of year too- should be fun!
