Sunday Post: Oct 11

Sunday-PostThe Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

Last Week–home and blog

Our son and his girlfriend took the train from NYC to Washington DC this weekend and we met them for lunch on Saturday. Fun to see them. We ate at a German restaurant where there were special meals for Oktoberfest. All very good.

Leaves are starting to turn and after a thunderstorm Friday night the weekend is sunny with beautiful blue skies. My husband has Monday off (Columbus Day) so we’re going to Maryland’s Eastern Shore Sunday and Monday. This is a peninsula with the Chesapeake Bay on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side. It should be a beautiful weekend and we’re hoping there won’t as many people as in the summer.

What we’re watching

We found a new season of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries on Netflix so very happy about that. Still enjoying the Great British Baking Show, Dancing With the Stars and Big Bang Theory. Also looking forward to Elementary (but not till first part of November) and Supergirl (Oct 26) so we have a while to wait for those.

I made a little progress with the Blog Ahead Challenge and I’m reading some good books. I did some blog organization this week, too. Since we will be gone Sunday and Monday I won’t be able to answer comments or visit blogs till after we return.

We’re going to Maine to visit my husband’s sister and brother-in-law next weekend. We’re staying on the coast and hoping for nice weather. I want to get a lot done during the week both on my blog and around the house.
