The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!
Last Week
Home & blog
My last week with my daughter for awhile and we had lots of fun. Always hard to leave when I’m visiting one of my kids. We drove to eastern Iowa on Friday night to my father-in-law’s home. My husband flew in on Thursday to see his dad and he and I are heading home on Sunday.
I finally finished The Thorn of Dentonhill. It took me about a month to get it read. I had other books to read during that time and I was bogged down in the first third of the book. Glad to finish it! Also posted a couple reviews. I’m getting caught up with my reviews so I feel good about that.

Around the Internet
An interesting look back at Old Man’s War by John Scalzi on the Tor.com blog.
Many of you know that since I discovered John Scalzi’s books last year I’ve slowly been reading them and loving them. He’s become one of my favorite authors.
Old Man’s War was the first book I read. Recently I read book 2 The Ghost Brigades and I’m reviewing it next week. I’m currently reading The Last Colony and book 6 in the series–The End of All Things–came out this week.

My husband and I fly home early Sunday morning so I’ll be back in Maryland and recovering from travel! I know there will be lots of little things and maybe some big things to catch up on. I can’t wait to see my cats!
