Sunday Post: Jul 12

rp_sundaypostmeme13.jpgThe Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

All our visitors left by Tuesday night. We had a wonderful time with everyone. Lots of stories, laughs and good food. . .and dragonflies! My brother studies dragonflies (he’s been fascinated with them since he was a kid). He’s envious we have a pond in our backyard. He found 12 different species of dragonflies in the pond and says during the season we probably have 30 or more species. He got me a dragonfly book so I can identify them!

My cats Elf and Katzi enjoyed the visitors, but Scorch spent most of her time hiding. The day after everyone left she finally came out again and relaxed on the carpet. She loves to lay with her back legs stretched out behind her!

Still hot and humid and lots of rain. I’m enjoying all the flowers, plants and birds as well as all the frogs and toads in our yard.

Somehow I ended up reading four books at the same time so I’m not finished with any of them yet. But at least I’m reading some good books. We took three more boxes of books to give to the library. I’m finally getting to the last of the boxes of books to go through. Then I want to go through my shelves to see what else I can part with. I had too many books for awhile and it feels good to let someone else enjoy these books.
