Sunday Post: May 17

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

Last Week

Home & blog

I’ve been in Des Moines all week with my younger daughter. My husband was here Sunday through Tuesday and then drove to the eastern side of Iowa along the Mississippi River to spend the rest of the week with his dad. He did some yard work for both our daughter and his dad. On Monday and Tuesday we looked at houses throughout Des Moines as we may move here. We saw some great houses, but we aren’t ready to make a decision yet. This was more getting an idea of the areas and types of houses available. In the next few months we will get a better idea what we are going to do. I’ve been obsessed looking at houses on the internet the last few weeks! I hope to give that a rest for at least awhile. . . LOL

I’ve gotten to spend a few days with my daughter’s black lab Bailey. She’s almost a year old now and a wonderful dog. When my daughter got Bailey last summer I came and stayed the first month since my daughter was working. It’s so great seeing Bailey nearly grown up! Quite a contrast from the week before–a tiny mini dachshund–and this week a 75 pound lab! Quite a difference, but both dogs are so much fun. 🙂

My daughter and I are leaving Friday after work for Illinois and my older daughter’s graduation. My husband and father-in-law will meet us there as well as other family members. Graduation for the Master’s programs is Saturday morning and then we’re all spending the day and evening together. On Sunday we all head back home!
