The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!
Last Week
Home & blog
We took care of our son’s mini dachshund puppy this week and, oh, my gosh he is so cute. 🙂 But I’m exhausted after a week with a puppy. . .LOL. One of the problems is that our house has an open floor plan so it is very hard to keep track of him. He’s not completely housebroken yet so it’s important to keep track! And he spent a lot of time chasing after our cats trying to get them to play (he’s half their size!) So I spent a lot of time chasing him. We also spent a lot of time outside which I enjoyed, but again no fenced yard and we have a pond not far outside our yard with ducks and geese which he was very interested in. So again I had to watch him like a hawk . . . wait . . . a hawk could swoop out of the sky to scoop him up . . . Oh, no!

Home & blog
My husband and I are leaving today (Sunday) for Illinois and Iowa. We’ll spend the week in Iowa with one of our daughters and my father-in-law. Then we drive into the Chicago area for our older daughter’s graduation. We fly home to Maryland next Sunday. A great week!
I hope to at least finish a book or two this week and get a little ahead on blog posts!

What books did you collect last week? What are you planning next week?
The Diggers Rest Hotel looks great, kind of noirish. The puppy is so cute. I was wondering how it went with the kitties. And glad no hawks got him! We have huge ones so my cat never goes outside anymore. They come right down on the roof of my house and snatch fish out of the fish pond too.
Have a wonderful Sunday and Mother’s Day and enjoy your new reads.

Yeah, I agree, Laura. And yes, the puppy is so cute. I shouldn’t joke about a hawk, because a large hawk could grab him. When I was a child an owl came down into our yard and almost got a half grown cat. We threw things at him and he flew away. It was scary.

I’ll bet that little guy kept you hopping (and the cats too!). He’s cute. Have a great trip and week. How Star Wars looks like a fun book.
