The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!
Last Week
Home & blog
My daughter is graduating in May with a Master’s Degree. We’re going to her graduation and planning a celebration dinner for her. I’ve sent out invitations and made plans for the dinner so I think things are under control for now! We’re also doing yard work–building new flower beds and cleaning things up after winter. I’m excited to pick out the plants for the new flower beds. 🙂

I will have more graduation plans to work on and more yard work. Plus I need to sort clothes and other things to get rid of clutter. I also want to work to create posts ahead. My backlog of posts was depleted in my last six weeks of activities.

What books did you collect last week? What are you planning next week?
Such exciting news for your daughter! I have two friends that both have daughters graduating too. One is going on to med school. We had a horrific storm blow through yesterday and I just spent time outside cleaning up and finding what blew around. LOl I have some exciting plans to paint brick to look like classic books and use them to wrap around one of my flower gardens. Looking forward to that!

Thanks, Laura! We’re all excited about our daughter’s graduation. Sorry about your storm. I know how much damage the wind can cause. Your painted bricks sound great. I hope you’ll put photos on your site.

As much as yard work isn’t all that fun, it is awesome that it is finally warm enough to do yard work!

I got 6 books from the library and 1 from a giveaway this week. I’m all caught up with my NetGalley, although there’s plenty there I could read early if I wanted.
Congrats to your daughter. I got my master’s while working full time and it was an exhausting 2 years.
I hope you’ll have time to stop by my blog.
