Sunday Post: Mar 8

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

Last Week

Home & blog

I arrived in Iowa yesterday. I was surprised there’s no snow here. When I left Maryland we had roadside snow piled up. However, both Iowa and Maryland will have warmer weather this week! Spring is coming. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had a good reading week and manged to finish posting all my COYER reviews this week. COYER is over and I read and reviewed 17 books during the reading challenge.

Next Week

Home & blog

Next week my two daughters and I are driving to northern Wisconsin to a wedding. My niece is getting married and we have all sorts of fun activities going on while we’re there. Lots of fun, but don’t know how much time I will spend on the internet.

What books did you collect last week? What are you planning next week?

Author: Jan

I love to read--especially mysteries, science fiction and fantasy. I also love blogging, photography, gardening, playing Mah Jonng, reading with a cat on my lap, throwing a ball for a dog, creating cards to send to family and friends, reading book blogs, using my computer.

  1. Enjoy the wedding with your two daughters, I hope you’ll be having lots of fun ๐Ÿ™‚ And enjoy that book haul, have a great week ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Thanks! We’re really excited to go to the wedding. One of my favorite nieces and all sorts of fun things going on plus catching up with the family.

  2. I’m surprised there’s no snow in Iowa! We still have snow here in Alabama so that doesn’t seem quite fair but then I’m a little bitter. I don’t like cold! The wedding sounds like it’ll be lots of fun. Great books this week! Yay for Death in a Red Canvas Chair! I really enjoyed the 2nd on in the series which actually is available in Kindle format but for some reason the listings aren’t connected. Don’t know what’s going on there. Have a great week!

    1. I was surprised there was no snow in Iowa when I arrived either. The weather in February and much of March was surprising. I hope you’re having a nice spring in Alabama now, Katherine.

  3. No snow in Iowa? Nice! And a wedding soon, how fun. You’re busy traveling.

I liked Dead Heat, despite its inaccuracies. I like Charles more with every book. And you got Winnie the Pooh! Silly old bear. ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. All the March activities have been so much fun.

I’m looking forward to listening to Winnie the Pooh. So many memories of my mother reading it to me and my reading it to my kids.

  4. I bet it was a nice surprise to find no snow! It’s finally warmed up here and looks like spring has finally arrived. I’m sure there will be another cold blast but I think then winter will be done in the south.
Have fun at your niece’s wedding.

    1. Hope you’re getting nice spring weather by now. We’ve arrived back in Maryland to nice weather this week. I have crocus in bloom. ๐Ÿ™‚
