The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!
Last Week
Home & blog
My husband went back to work at the end of the week so that’s good. And I didn’t get the flu so that’s even better! I got some reading done this week which was great. When I’m reading a good book that makes everything great. I also made a few cards this week to send for birthdays and “thinking of you” times.

Home & blog
I hope to keep the reading going as well as putting up blog posts. We have a retirement party to go to today and we’re meeting our son for lunch before that. We have a Winter Storm Watch for tonight and tomorrow–for maybe an inch of snow tonight and maybe another inch tomorrow! I shouldn’t make fun–there are always lots of accidents in the DC area when there’s any kind of bad weather.

Thanks, Kimba. Yes, I’m so glad not to get the flu! The Girl with all the Gifts has been on my list for awhile and when I saw it on sale the rest is history…

I’m tempted to just ask my brother in Canada to just buy and send me Earth Flight as well – it also came out on the same day there as in the UK. We’re so impatient 😛

It’s very frustrating when a book comes out in England and Canada and yet takes over a year to come out here in the U.S. Of course, it happens more often that a book is published in the U.S. and takes longer to be published somewhere else in the world.
But I’m glad I bought it! And if I had a brother in Canada I’d ask him to send me a copy…lol

Any week you don’t get the flu is a good week! Glad your husband is well enough to go back to work. This flu has been a nasty one.
Ooh, The Firebird! That’s one I’ve been wanting to read – but I should start with The Winter Sea, I think.
Stay safe and stay warm in the upcoming storm. We might even get a few flurries down here! The last one bypassed us entirely – or rather, we got plenty of rain and some sleet that melted as soon as it hit the ground, so it didn’t count. Enjoy your week and happy reading.

Thanks, Lark! I don’t know if we’ll end up getting any snow from this storm either. We ended up with just rain from the last storm, too. And we’ve only had about a 1/2 inch of snow so far this winter.
I was excited to see the Firebird on sale. I hope to listen soon.

Oh yay another Crombie review! I can’t remember if I’ve read that one or not so I’m very curious. Glad you didn’t get sick and that your husband is feeling better. Have a great week and be careful with that Winter Storm stuff. We don’t get much snow here so everything goes to total standstill if we get as much as 1/2 an inch!

Well, the same thing happens around here for snow. A couple weeks ago one inch was forecast and they cancelled school! We ended up with 1/2 an inch. We’ll see if we get any snow from this storm.
Hope you like the Crombie review!

Oh, I hope you didn\’t get too much snow, we saw it in the news here. At least you\’ll have plenty of books to read. We didn\’t had any snow here in SE England for the past 2 years I think, and if it does snow, it would be the smallest covering and gone by lunchtime usually.
