Sunday Post: July 6

rp_sundaypostmeme13.jpgThe Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

Last Week

I hope everyone in the U.S. had a Happy Independence Day on the 4th!

Sad to watch the U.S. v Belgium game this week. The U.S. played pretty well, but Belgium certainly played better. We’ve watched several other games during the week. We flew into Chicago early Thursday and drove to Iowa for the 4th of July weekend. The weather has been beautiful–sunny and not too hot. We’ve all crowded into the TV room and watched some of the games. We’ve also celebrated several birthdays with a barbecue and lots of desserts! Plus a trip to the theater to see The Wizard of Oz!

I’ve had a couple of tech mishaps this week. First, my daughter drove over my cell phone after I dropped it! Not her fault at all since I didn’t realize I’d dropped it. The screen is badly cracked though it still works. I have to see if I can get it repaired when I get home. Then, my tablet which I bought for travel stopped connecting to the internet. I tried to fix it and one of my tech whiz daughters also tried. Then we called tech support. They couldn’t get it to work either so they’re sending a new computer. Which is great, but didn’t help me get this post written. I had to borrow a computer to do that.

After combining my book review index into one list last week I decided to divide it in two by author and title this week. Not so confusing that way. I participated in a few COYER activities, but it was a busy week and I wasn’t able to do as much as I hoped. I haven’t posted any reviews yet for the COYER. I still have a few older reviews to post so I’ve tried to get through those.
