Sunday Post–October 20

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to participate in every week and I thank Kim for hosting it!

Last Week

Around the House

We got home from the Midwest and as usual I was wiped out after the trip! We had such a good time with everyone…a very nice break.

Around the house

Relatives were planning to visit, but postponed because of the government shutdown. Instead I’m hoping to pick things up around the house, read, write blog posts and make a bunch of Halloween cards.

What was your week like? Did you read (or find) some great books this week? Are you reading spooky books because of Halloween or doing other Halloween fun?

Author: Jan

I love to read--especially mysteries, science fiction and fantasy. I also love blogging, photography, gardening, playing Mah Jonng, reading with a cat on my lap, throwing a ball for a dog, creating cards to send to family and friends, reading book blogs, using my computer.

  1. Sorry it’s taken me so long to stop by — the current indexing project is more demanding than I anticipated, and it’s been hard to squeeze in any extra computer time. I’m also sorry your relatives didn’t come. The shutdown has had all kinds of unexpected repercussions. I’m glad it’s over, but not looking forward to what’s sure to be a repeat in Jan/Feb.

Loved your review of The Arrangement. You got some interesting books this week; I’ve never seen that Tanya Huff, but the title and cover alone are enough to make me want to take a look!

    1. Don’t worry about that, Lark. It’s certainly understandable when you’re so busy. I’m hoping our relatives will be able to visit in the spring–hopefully, after the next repeat in January and February.

I finished the Tanya Huff book and really liked it. And it has dragons in it!

  2. I hadn’t looked at any of the reviews before I read it, Lark, but did go look when you mentioned that. I can understand why some people didn’t like it. There was some pretty free and easy sex happening, but it wasn’t graphic and seemed natural for the setting. All in all, I really liked the book.
