September 17, 2013 2013, Top Ten Tuesday 0

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme which I participate in occasionally. It’s a great meme and is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish blog. Every week a new topic is presented. It’s not only fun to think about my own list, but to read what other people come up with! This week I split up my top ten list. Five are books published this fall I hope/plan to buy and read. The other five are books already in my TBR books which I definitely plan to read this fall. Top 5 Books Published this fall I hope to buy and read! September 1. A list of books I’m interested in this month…some I will definitely buy…others will wait awhile or I won’t buy them at all since I already have a huge TBR pile of books (on my shelf and on my e-reader)! ………. July 15 I’ve been waiting for this book for several months and then when it was published I missed that fact for a few days and certainly didn’t have the book on my July list! I’ve very much liked everything Ms. Milan has written. Favorite Books Read…January-June 2013

June 25, 2013 2013, books, Top Ten Tuesday 0

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish blog. I don’t always participate, but try to at least once a month or so. This month I’ve managed more than that so that’s been fun. Sometimes I have a hard time coming up with anything to say and sometimes I feel like I’m saying the same thing over and over so those weeks I try not to participate. I think I repeat myself enough as it is! Some of this is also repetitive since I’ve already reviewed most of these books. but anyway here goes… This has been a pretty good reading year for me so… Read more »

Ten New Books for Summer 2013

June 18, 2013 2013, Top Ten Tuesday 0

I published this and then realized I forgot to add a shout out and link to The Broke and Bookish blog who sponsors this weekly meme. Top Ten Tuesdays have a new topic each week asking each blogger to write about their top ten favorites for that topic. This week was the top ten books on our summer TBR list. I interpreted this as the top ten books published this summer I’m most excited about.   June books Trail of Dead by Melissa F. Olson…this is book 2 of the Scarlett Bernard series. I read and enjoyed the first book in the series–Dead Spots–and reviewed it in May. Shapeshifted by… Read more »

May 2013 Books On My Radar

May 1, 2013 2013, Books on my radar 0

I don’t have too many books I’m excited about this month. This may change as I discover new books from other bloggers. May 7   This book is a hardcover so both the book and e-book are expensive so even though this is the final Sookie Stackhouse book I won’t buy it until the e-book is less expensive…or I will try to find it at the library. It’s hard to believe this is the last in the Sookie series. I’ve been reading them for years. I wonder what Charlaine Harris is doing next. Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris Series: Sookie Stackhouse #13 Published by Ace, hardcover Genre: Urban Fantasy… Read more »

Top Ten Tuesday–Top Ten Most Vivid Book Worlds/Settings

April 16, 2013 2013, books, Top Ten Tuesday 0

Note: I had trouble finishing up this post this morning after the terrible events in Boston yesterday. One of my daughters ran in the Boston Marathon a couple years ago so this brought back memories of my happiness for her that day with the horror of seeing those bombs go off  blanketed over those happy memories. Plus I have a nephew and his wife who just moved from Boston. My hearts go out to all the people injuried or killed yesterday, their families and to all of Boston. My thoughts are also with the police, FBI and everyone working to catch the person or person who did this: I hope… Read more »
