Sunday Post: Thanksgiving soon

November 19, 2017 2017, Sunday Post 4

Sunday-Post

Kimberly hosts the Sunday Post each week. I like to take part because it gives me an opportunity to look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also love to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading.

Videos and Thanksgiving Prep

We’re leaving tomorrow to help get ready for Thanksgiving with my husband’s family. They do a big Thanksgiving every year and everyone pitches in to help. My daughter went over this weekend to take some of the supplies and begin preparations since she won’t show up until Wednesday night. She took her two dogs–Bailey and Juneau–and as you can see from the photos they’re having a great time. The third dog–Emma–belongs to her aunt and uncle and the dogs had so much fun playing.

The photos also show our daughter making a family favorite–Mocha Pudding Cake. It doesn’t last long in our house! This was a welcome dessert as we prepped for Thanksgiving.

My husband had more videotapes transferred to DVD and discovered some family Thanksgivings so we will take those with us when we go to Thanksgiving this year.

So much still to do before we leave tomorrow so I better publish this and get busy!

Blog

I had so much fun reading holiday books for the HoHoHo Readathon. I read six books (several very short books!), participated in three fun challenges and tweeted in the Twitter Party. Lots of fun. I didn’t get to visit blogs this week or answer comments on my blog, but I will soon!

Oh what a fun Thanksgiving you have planned! I imagine the old family movies will go over well. Those are always so fun to see even though some of the fashion choices are always a little cringe worthy. I’m a big fan of pudding cakes but am not sure I’ve ever had a mocha pudding cake. Sounds delicious. Happy Thanksgiving and have a great week!
