Sunday Post: Aug 9

August 9, 2015 2015, Sunday Post 14

rp_sundaypostmeme13.jpgThe Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I like this meme because it gives me an opportunity to take a look back at last week and forward to next week in both my personal life and my blog and book life! I also like to see what other people are doing and what books everyone is reading. This is a great meme to take part in every week and I thank Kimba for hosting it!

Last Week

I’ve stayed with one of my daughters the last couple of weeks. I go back home next weekend.

We had such a wonderful time with our relatives and friends in northern Wisconsin–a group of about 100 this year! It was amazing! The house where most of the activities were held is on a lake so there’s lots of boating and swimming.

My daughter had meetings all week at work including in the evenings so I took care of her dog, Bailey. She finished her meetings on Friday so we went to our favorite winery on Saturday and sat on their porch and had cheese and bread and wine! Such a relaxing afternoon.

Reading and blogging this last week was nice. I had posts ready to go so I was able to read and do some other chores around the house. Now I need to get caught up on my commenting and blog visiting!

Home & blog

Karen and I have things planned for her after work hours this week. It will be fun to spend more time with her. We are driving to eastern Iowa to meet my husband at his Dad’s. And then my husband and I will fly home together. I’ve missed him a lot as well as my cats, but this has been a fun vacation with my daughter.

The Musubi Murder book sounds really interesting. Hope it’s good. We did have so much fun on our trip. Luckily, Bailey is out of her big collar! She’s much happier and her incision is all healed (it had gotten a little infected).

Poor Bailey! Hope she’s back to normal but the cone is just no fun. What great pictures! It looks like you’re having a fun and relaxing week. And you’ve gotten some great looking books! I’ve been seeing the Musubi Murders everywhere lately and Thorn Jack looks great. Have a fantastic week!

You’ve been so busy lately, but a good kind of fun busy! Glad you had fun with the family and your daughter. Her dog Bailey is such a cutie!

I would like to pick up: Tilt a Whirl, Walden on Wheels, Named of the Dragon, and The Firebird, all already on my Goodreads wishlist.

    Safe travels back home!

Thanks, Rita! I’ve got to get back to listening to The Firebird. It’s so good. I also started Tilt-a-Whirl so long ago that I may have to start over since it’s been so long! And the other books are just waiting for me to start them.

Sounds like you had a great trip. The pancakes look delicious and the lake pictures are lovely. I just finished The Musubi Murder and it was nice, I enjoyed it. Poor Bailey. 🙁

Enjoy your time with your daughter and your husband. 🙂

What a wonderful trip you’ve been having! I’m glad you were able to get so many friends and family together – and what a beautiful place for a reunion! I’m also happy to hear Bailey is doing well. Wow, she has grown! I remember when you posted her puppy pictures, and that wasn’t that long ago.

I wanted so much to request The Aeronaut’s Windlass, but I overextended on ARCs for the next few months, and it’s going to take a while to catch up. So I’m glad you snagged a copy – you can tell us how good it is!

Have a great weak, and enjoy the time with your daughter!
